Q1. What is SCG?
Well to begin with SCG is a mould, its a concept, which if implemented can bring about vast changes in the society.
We have a lot of latent talent pool in our country. SCG helps to redirect this latent resource into something meaningful for the society.
If we would have asked you to pool Rs. 20,000 do you think it would be easy? But if we ask you to pool in 1 hour for 7 days to help us deliver an IT consulting assignment, do you agree that you would be more willing to contribute?
Your efforts are used for consulting & implementation assignments from corporates. The earnings are stored in SCG corpus fund which is used for financing projects for social organizations.
Q2 How is SCG different from an NGO?
SCG is different from an NGO. It has been conceived to help us and the various NGO’s to reach out to the masses by funding the projects for the benefit of the underprivileged.
SCG is not about me and you hunting around for funds, it’s about OUR efforts generating business, and the business generating funds. The funds will directly or via small NGO's reach the grass root levels. It’s also for the people in various industries who want to explore their talent but cannot take a direct step. If you join a multinational, you may not always get the profile you wanted to; join SCG and work on projects part-time, at the same time contribute to the society.
SCG is about goodwill, its about leadership, its about development, its about entrepreneurship, its about everything required for a better change in the society.
Q3 How many NGO’s has SCG funded till now?
We do not have many results to offer, since we are still building our strength and bidding for projects. We are still a startup. We have a few projects in the pipeline, for example a SMB in the US wants us to help us setup its servers in India.
